The product
Reliance Patrol is how we prove every round
Paper clipboards at the gatehouse cannot tell you whether an officer walked the compound at 02:14. Reliance Patrol can. It is our own Smart Portal — a QR-code site patrol system that runs in a mobile browser. Guards use the camera on their phone. Clients and operations staff see the same evidence in a browser login. There is no separate app to install from a store.
Every live contract can run on it: construction compounds, retail parks, offices, vacant property, warehouses, healthcare and events. We design the route on your drawing, print the QR codes, assign licensed officers, and give you a read-only client login so you can open rotas, patrol reports and incidents the same night.

One sign-in page. The role decides where you land. Operations run the contract. Guards run the round. You see the proof.
Reliance Patrol control
Our operations team builds the site before the first shift: GPS, gates, QR checkpoints, guards, site-owner logins and a 14-day rota.
- Live dashboard — completed today, in progress, missed checkpoints, late patrols, incidents
- Sites & QR — printable codes, scan radius, gallery folders
- Guards with SIA numbers, multi-site assignment, primary site
- Rotas with day/night hours, ON/OFF grid, CSV import from Excel
- Patrol reports and incident feed with PDF export
The guard’s pocket tool
Officers open Site Patrol on their phone. Location stays on while the tab is open. They start at the gate they are standing at — not a vague site centre.
- On-duty card from today’s rota (day 07:00–19:00 or night 19:00–07:00)
- Start-shift geofence, then live camera QR scan (torch Auto / On / Off)
- Each scan saved with time, GPS, accuracy and metres from the checkpoint
- Report incident — Intruder, Damage, Fire/Safety, Equipment, Other — plus photo
- Finish & view report, or abort if the round cannot be completed
Your read-only portal
You get a login for the sites assigned to you. You cannot edit rotas or move guards — that stays with Reliance admin — but you can see everything that matters.
- Overview of guards, rotas, completed and in-progress patrols
- Read-only rota grid and assigned officer list with contact details
- Patrol reports with checkpoint times, distances and map snapshots
- Incident list with photos, linked back to the patrol
- Export PDF (up to 48 reports) for insurers, QS teams and audits

How a patrol actually runs
From your drawing to a timestamped PDF
This is the working loop on every live contract — not a slogan. Each step is enforced in the product, so a round that was skipped cannot be written in after the fact.
We set the site, gates and QR route
Operations create the site with address, postcode and the first gate — Main Gate, Back Gate, loading bay — each with its own GPS and start-shift radius (typically 150–300 m). A patrol route is added (Day/Night Patrol by default). Checkpoints are placed where you want proof: plant compound, welfare, fence line, roof hatch. Each gets a code (QR-001…), a scan radius (default 75 m) and a printable PNG. We stand at the point, use “my location”, and post the code on the wall.
Guards and you are assigned
SIA-licensed officers are given a login, phone, job title and SIA number. One officer can cover several sites; a primary site is set. You receive a site-owner account for the same sites — rotas, reports and incidents only, no admin tools. Then we build a 14-day rota: day and night windows, ON/OFF per guard per day, or import the Excel sheet you already use. Overlaps across sites are flagged before the week starts.
The officer starts only at the right gate
On shift they open Site Patrol, allow location, and see “On duty today” with hours. If the site has more than one gate they must pick the gate they are at. The app takes several high-accuracy GPS samples. The server checks the rota (ON today, correct site), location integrity, and the start-shift geofence. Spoofed GPS, teleport jumps and timezone tricks are rejected. Only then is a patrol created and the active round begins.
Every checkpoint is dual-verified
They tap Scan QR Code. The live camera reads the posted code — no photo upload, no typing a number. Flashlight can stay Auto, On or Off for night rounds. After the scan the app verifies GPS again: the token must belong to this route, the point must not already be scanned, and the officer must be inside the tight checkpoint radius. Distance in metres is stored with a map snapshot for the PDF. The verified screen shows location, time, distance and progress (Completed X / Y).
Incidents are logged in the moment
From the active round or a verified checkpoint they can Report Incident: location (checkpoint or Other), type (Intruder, Damage, Fire/Safety, Equipment, Other), description and an optional photo from the camera. It is saved against that patrol immediately. You and operations see it in the incident feed — not in a book at the end of the week.
The report is the audit trail
When every checkpoint is scanned they tap Finish & View Report. If the round cannot be completed they can abort (ended early). The report lists site, guard, duty date, day or night, start/finish, each checkpoint with tick or miss, distances, incidents and map pins. Night shifts that cross midnight stay on the same duty date. You export PDF for insurers. Operations see missed checkpoints and late patrols (over 60 minutes) on the dashboard the same morning.
Main parts in detail
What you are actually buying
These are the modules inside Reliance Patrol — the same screens our operations team and officers use every shift.
QR checkpoints
Unique token per point, payload the camera reads on site. Printable PNG from the portal. Posted on gates, fences, plant, roofs and galleries. A scan without the matching GPS is rejected. Missed points stay visible on the completed report — they cannot be back-filled.
GPS geofence & anti-spoof
Start-shift radius at the gate. Tight scan radius at each checkpoint. Multiple GPS samples, mock-location flags, teleport detection and timezone checks. The officer is told to stay still outdoors while accuracy settles. Location spoofing apps are called out in the error, not ignored.
Digital rotas
Fourteen-day site roster. Default day 07:00–19:00 and night 19:00–07:00, adjustable per rota. ON/OFF grid per guard per day. Download a sample CSV, export the live rota, or import the Excel sheet your site already runs. Guards only start a patrol on ON days.
Incidents with photos
Logged during the round, not after. Type, location, description and a camera photo. Operations and the client see the feed immediately, with a link through to the full patrol. That is the difference between an insurance argument and a timestamped picture.
Patrol reports & PDF
Filter by date, site, guard and status. Donut of completed, completed with missed points, ended early, and in progress. Map snapshots per scan. Single PDF or bulk export. Print stylesheet for evidence packs. Night rounds stay on the duty date after midnight.
Operations dashboard
Completed today, in progress, missed checkpoints, late patrols over 60 minutes, incidents today. Recent patrols and incidents in one view. Suggested setup order so a new site is live in the right sequence: site → QR → guards → owners → rota.
Multi-site, multi-gate
One login can cover several sites. Each site can have Main Gate, Back Gate and more — each with its own geofence and route. The officer chooses the gate they are physically at. Site owners with several contracts see a site filter on overview, rotas, reports and incidents.
Works in the phone browser
Camera and GPS need HTTPS. Officers do not download a store app. Light, dark or auto theme. Profile photo, phone and SIA number on the account. Torch support for night scanning. Built for the field, not a desktop-only dashboard pretending to be mobile.
Why this changes the contract
Evidence you can hand an insurer the same night
Patrols that cannot be invented
A clipboard at the gatehouse records what someone wrote. Reliance Patrol records what the camera and the satellites agreed on. The QR must be the one posted at that point. The GPS must sit inside the checkpoint radius. Distance is stored in metres. A map pin is saved for the PDF.
- Missed checkpoints stay missed on the completed report
- Late patrols (over 60 minutes) surface on the operations dashboard
- Aborted rounds are labelled ended early — not silently completed
- Night duty crossing midnight stays on one report
You see cover as it happens
The client portal is read-only on purpose. You should not have to administer security software. You should be able to open rotas, see who is on, read last night’s incidents and export a PDF before the 09:00 meeting. That is why businesses keep us after the first month — licensed officers on the gate, and a portal that does not wait for a weekly email.
- Named operations contact, not a call-centre queue
- SIA-licensed officers only — never an unlicensed stand-in
- Free survey, staffing plan, QR route and 1-hour quote in business hours
- UK-wide mobilisation from Hull — England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland
Why customers choose Reliance
Licensed people. Proven rounds. A portal you can open.
Customers do not choose us for a slogan. They choose a company that deploys SIA-licensed officers and then proves the work in Reliance Patrol.
SIA-licensed only
The right licence for the role, checked before the first shift. SIA numbers sit on the guard profile in the portal.
QR + GPS, not paper
Dual verification at every checkpoint. Insurers get timestamps and map pins, not a rumour that someone did the rounds.

Questions
How Reliance Patrol fits a live contract
Straight answers on the product — then how to get it on your site.
Do officers need to install an app?
No. Site Patrol runs in the mobile browser with the device camera. HTTPS is required for scanning. We brief officers on location permission and torch use for night rounds. There is nothing to download from an app store.
Can a guard fake a patrol from the cabin?
They would need the physical QR at the checkpoint and GPS inside a tight radius. Start-shift also requires the gate geofence. Mock GPS, teleport jumps and timezone mismatches are rejected. Missed points remain missed on the report.
What do I see as the client?
A read-only owner login: overview stats, rotas, assigned guards, patrol reports (with map snapshots) and incidents with photos. You can export PDFs. Changes to rotas, QR codes and users are made by Reliance admin.
Does it work for day and night?
Yes. One site rota holds both windows (defaults 07:00–19:00 and 19:00–07:00). Night patrols that continue after midnight stay on the same duty-date report. The scanner includes a flashlight control for dark compounds.
Can we keep using our Excel rota?
Yes. Download a sample CSV, or export the live rota and import an Excel-style sheet (Date, Day, guard columns, on/off). Guard names must match. Overlaps across sites are flagged.
